Bill Wenthen

Hello, I’m Bill Wenthen and I’ve specialized in South Loop real estate sales for the past fifteen years. I also have sales and property management experience across Chicago

I’ve worked extensively in the South Loop since entering the field. In Dearborn Park I & II I’ve gained an in-depth knowledge of all townhouse and single-family home models. Past ownership at 1211 S Prairie and significant sales experience in the Central Station & Museum Park developments have exposed me to all aspects of this housing market as well.

Along with sales I’ve focused on the purchase and management of mixed use, residential and retail buildings. I own and manage commercial/mixed use properties in Bucktown, Wrigleyville and Roscoe Village. Ownership of large properties has given me valuable experience in all aspects of property renovation and maintenance.

The understanding I’ve gained while working on various upgrading & maintenance over the years is very useful to my clients. I have a keen eye for potentially costly future issues that may occur with properties and have a firm understanding of various housing structures in Chicago.

I work with a team of expert and experienced contractors on my properties and those of my clients in need of renovations to maximize net selling price prior to sale. Recently in Chicago there has been a strong tendency for contemporary finishes to bring in the buyers.

In 2020 I have managed the complete renovation of several South Loop properties prior to sale, as well as additional properties in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood.

As a parent of a Walter Payton H.S. Sophomore, I’m knowledgeable about the numerous Chicago schooling options as well.

Before entering real estate sales and investment I worked as a systems developer in the computer field for such clients as Sears, BP, GE Capital, Abbot Labs, Helene Curtis, Spiegel and the AMA. I’ve effectively leveraged this technical background to the advantage of my clients, maximizing online exposure to my listings across various online platforms.
